The median sale price of single-family homes in the Bend area reached $450,000 in January, according to the latest report from Beacon Appraisal Group in Redmond.
The January median price was up 4 percent over December’s median price of $432,000. Year over year, it was up 9.76 percent from $410,000 in January 2018.
January’s price increase came with fewer transactions: 125 homes sold compared with 160 in December and 142 in January 2018.
Bend area homes spent an average 110 days on the market, on par with last January.
Redmond’s median sale price rose at a slower pace last month, 1.67 percent, and homes that were sold spent more time on the market.
The Redmond area median was $305,000, compared to $300,000 in December. The January median price was up 9.3 percent from $279,000 a year ago. There were 49 single-family homes sold in January, similar to 47 a year ago. Redmond area homes spent an average 115 days on the market, compared with an average 84 days last January.
