The median sales price of single-family homes in the Bend area chugged upward in December to $395,000, according to the Beacon Report from Beacon Appraisal Group in Redmond.
The December median was up 1.2 percent from the November median, $390,000, and 11 percent higher than a year ago, when it reached $355,000.
Homes sold spent an average 89 days on the market, compared with 107 days last year. While listings turned over more quickly, the total number of transactions in December dropped slightly from 192 in December 2016 to 189 last month.
In Redmond, the median sale price was $287,000, down 5 percent from November but up nearly 8 percent from December 2016. The median sale price a year ago was $266,000.
Redmond completed 52 sales in December, down from 80 a year ago. Homes spent an average 108 days on the market, up from 100 days a year ago.
