The median sales price for a single-family home in the Bend area was $413,000 in July, up less than 1 percent from $409,000 in June, according to The Beacon Report, compiled by Beacon Appraisal Group.
The Bend area median price is 13 percent higher than a year ago, $364,000.
Prices have been rising faster in Redmond, which set a new high for median sales price in July at $306,000. The previous peak was $289,000 in November 2006, Beacon Appraisal owner Donnie Montagner said.
Redmond’s median price first exceeded the previous peak in June at $295,000. The July median is 17 percent higher than a year ago, $262,000.
The Bend area, which includes Alfalfa and Tumalo, saw 243 single-family homes sold in July. That was down slightly from 250 a year ago.
Redmond had 93 homes sold in July, compared with 81 sales the previous year.
